Thanks Pragadha for clarifying and thankyou latha too.

Pragadha, now that you have given the actual details,I am actually surprised that a 1 yr old still lies down to feed! How come the child is agreeing to lying down and not getting up during the feed?

I 2 wonder for the same. That boy never shows his likes and dislikes towards the food just he will drink just like that. Now only she started giving food in hand but for that too he is not eating for his need just 5 to 6 mouths so she is giving by both means.

Hai

Today only I come across this thread.

Can you give me some fruit puree recipies , like you have mentioned you mix with cerelac.

My son is 7 month old and I am giving him three times a day solid food like Raagi, Oats, Cerelac along with mashed vegtables and fruits. Currently Iam using carrot, apple, and orange juices. I have not tried mixing purees with cerlac, oats .. . Not yet started rice / rice cereals, will try soon.

Also pls tell me If I can introduce dryfruits like Badam, Pista, Cashew......., like dryfuit powder, which is mentioned in another thread.

Thank you very much for all the recipies and instructions.

Thanks in advance

L, Vidya

9.30 a.m raagi or oats
12.30p.m dhal rice with little rasam but not much spicy with only tomatoes
4.00p.m vegetable puree
7.00p.m fruits puree with cerelac
rest of the time bm and formula milk. I am giving him vegetables like beans, carrot, potato and i have planned to start beetroot and cabbage coming week. I am giving him fruits like apple, peach, pear and banana. He is now 7months and 10days old. Shall we try the vegetables and fruits one after another should we wait for the allergy even now? Shall we introduce spinach now.

A friend of mine is feeding her child who is 1 year dhal rice and everything only in semi solid state. But i have started him solid like paruppu sadam how will we eat but mashed well. Who is right?

Hi Vidya,

By fruit purees this is what I do. Peel apples/pears/plums, remove the seeds and chop. Cook it in a saucepan with little water until it is easy enough to mash with a spoon. Puree it in a mixie.

For allergy reasons nuts are not recommended for children below 1 years of age. You might like to wait.

Thanks for posting this Latha.
All moms,

1. When you mean puree, can we just pressure cook the fruits/veggies and puree them in a mixer?
2. Also, can we make this puree and refrigerate it (ONLY for 3-4 hours). I will be starting work and so I want to know if I can make this, keep it in the fridge so that my MIL can use it for lunch.

Vanathi,

I have one more question..
Say if I cook one apple, of course LO cannot consume it all in a day..So can I store it in the fridge (not in the freezer) for 2-3 days?
