I recently moved to India .Has started sending my little one to nearby playschool and planning to send him to full day daycare as well. But no idea what kids eat at school duringsnack and lunch time.Mine doesnt eat any spicy items but loves to eat sugary items. So far I sent him with 2 idli's + sugar or bread & jam or 1 apple/banana+2 cookies as snacks and fried rice + egg for lunch.

I want to include variety of dishes.I dont have any more ideas what to send and no idea what other Indian kid's eat as morning, evening snacks and lunch. He eats everything if it is not spicy. Please suggest quick and easymeal ideas.

    hi,

you can try upma also- may be a vegetable upma , with vegetables cut to small size, and make mall balls of upma- so that it is easy for the child to pick and eat.

send dosa also- cut to pieces- easy for child to pick and eat.

    pan cakes if she likes,

stuffed paratha / roti if the child likes- that too cut to small portions.

    regards

You can make puri by adding mashed banana to the dough...Your LO might like the mild sweet taste. Pasta is always a hit with the kids .

whatever you do, keep in mind, chennai weather and the risk of the food spoiling and plan accordingly.
