Hi, I am looking for a blender/mixie which grinds food items in lesser quantities for my baby. For example, grinding just 5 almonds into a fine paste. I soak the almonds over night and peel the skin in the morning. When I try to grind using my mixie jar (chutney jar), I am getting a course paste and my baby just refuses to eat the course paste. What should I do to get a fine paste. I am sure that if I grind more almonds, my mixie will grind it into a fine paste. But I don't want to grind in bulk and refrigerate it. I just want to do it on a day to day basis. Can anyone please help to choose a blender/mixie? Thanks!
Priya, I am not sure how old is your baby, but I think you are aware that it is not safe to introduce any form of nuts to babies till 12 months. Read more here When Can Baby Eat Nuts? i use to grind and give it to my son when he was small.. i use to add water and about 8 to 10 almonds i gave him twice then i stop it as i dont know if he is okay with that or not being baby... is it okay to store in freezer i keep in fridge for a while and color change so i use to grind it when i am ready to feed him and use to mix with baby cereal that time..
I agree with you Nitha. Before grinding it you can dip it in water for 1 night and then grind. Before 6 months don't feed anything to baby.
