ok ... I will do it

    Hi,
For 2 1/2 months baby you should give only breastmilk(BM).If it is mother feeding it is too good to baby. You can start after completion of 3 months.

Fruit Puree for 4 to 6 months:

    Apple Puree:

    Ingredients:

    Apple-1no
    Water-2cup

    Method:

1.Peel the skin of the apple and remove the seeds in it.
2.cut the apple to small piece.
3.Take a sauce pan and pour the water in it.
4.Let it boil.Add the apple piece in it.
5.Let them cook until apple comes to messy consistency.
6.check for water often. U can add more water if u need to cook.
7.After apple becomes too soft.Allow to cool
8.Then using a hand blender/mixer u can make it as puree, otherwise use a potato masher/fork to mash it.
9.now apple puree is ready to feed ur baby.

    Tips:

1.It is must to peel and cook the apple. Because in these stage infant can't digest an apple easily.
2.For 10 months above infants we can give the apple as it is.
3.U can 1 tsp of lemon juice, sugar as per ur baby taste.
4.adding lemon juice reduce the chance for cold to ur baby.

    Hi,

As far as i know up to 6 months mothers milk is enough for the baby.u can introduce the other foods slowly after 6 months completed.( in this 6 months no need of giving water even as the mother milk contains 75 % of water which is more than enough for the baby)

To introduce the new foods to the baby pls consider the following
    1. Only one food per day. that too the little amount. and wait for the next 24 hrs. if he is normal then continue to give the food.
    2. dont introduce more than one food at the time.
    3. start with the semi liquid(like porridge) to solid items.

Here is the menu i followed for my DS
upto 6 months - mothers milk
after 6 months - I started with Cerelac rice flavour and slowly introduce the wheat flavour.
6 and half months - Idly for breakfast and dinner, and cooked apple for snack
7 month - mashed rice(with cooked carrot or potato) with dall for lunch and home made multi grain cereal
8 month - egg yolk and the other foods mentioned above
10 months - try to give everything we are having which you thing harmless to baby.

All the best and remember every child is spl and its our responsibility to find out which will suit for them.
    Hope it may help you

Awesome recipes! good work menuvenki!! Im a new mom too..

I exclusively BFed my baby boy till 6 months & 1 week of age, gradually shifted to solids followed by cow's milk. So here goes our recipe..

Fruit Pudding (i gave from 6 months of age for breakfast & dinner)

    Ingredients
Banana/ Papaya/ Apple/ Guava/ Honey dew (alone or a mix of two or more of these)
    Cow's milk (I use 3% aavin milk)
    Ghee (optional)

    Method
In a thick bottom pan boil the fruit either chopped or mashed in 100-150 ml of milk till the entire quantity of milk becomes malai (paal edu/ aadai) & settles on the fruits. Add ghee at the end. Cook in minimal flame to make sure it doesnt get burnt since the milk is much less in quantity already.
I add lil water to the above said mixture when i cook harder fruits like apple since it needs more time to get completely soft.
This would take some 10-15 mins depending on the amount of milk & whip it in a mixie once it has colled down.
During the early days of 6th & 7th months i use to make it bit watery followed by creamy & nowadays giving it kinda chunky in consistency for him to eat.

    Tips
The pudding would taste just like icecream since milk becomes malai completely. My bubba's fav is banana followed by papaya & apple.
It makes me laugh when people say papaya increases body heat & inedible & whatnot.. lol.. this is what i tell them 'i always loved papaya & so does my baby who has been taking it since he is 6 months old without even symptoms of stomach upset or whatever you imagine papaya to be causing'.
