    hi,
first time travelling with kids is not that much easy.
to keep your kid busy you must carry some small toys to play in train.
coming to food, bring fruits especially bananas and some biscuits.
    cerelac is a good idea.
boil milk and pour into flask when they are super hot.In that way they are good for 7-8 hours.
why dont you take milk powder (some lactogen).
    have a safe journey..

    Hi Jaya...
What Suzi has said is correct... I suggest you carry some Khakra and few chaklis and some such also I think you can carry chapathi you need to prepare dough with milk and make chapathis and few pickles/chutney powders... Boil potatoes but dont peel the skin, potatoes in their pouch will stay longer and you may carry few of the vegetables baby usually eats at home with you of course take a small knife plate too dont forget to take sippy cup... To keep baby occupied you may take picture books or comics

After you come back please update us here how you managed what all you took...

    Hi Suzii
    Welcome to IL.. Good tips

take toys, sipper, chappels, lots of knickers,
If you are travelling on AC compartment , then you can take electric kettle to heat water and mix with milk powder, whichever brand that you are currently using.

    hi friends...

thanks to one and all for dropping in here and suggesting ...

regarding milk, for formula milk we need hot water, and the solution is electric kettle,if there are no power points, can we mix in cold water, shake well and feed the child?

if not in cold water, then what to do?

one of my friend is suggesting tetra packs,no need to boil,we can take directly they are good for the child?
we can take food what suzi ,bunny and ramya suggested, but the boy needs milk during nights,so can anybody suggest which one is better, either tetra packs or formula milk in cold water?

    regards..
    jaya

If you can get small tetrapacks (200ml), they are the best options.
For emergency also keep powder milk.
