Daily kids menu updates

    Similar to the thread in the recipes section where we share our daily menus, I felt it would be useful to share the special menu we prepare for our infants/toddlers. It will be good to hear feedback from experienced mommies and also get inspired from each other's menus. :thumbsup

    Most importantly, if we set good food habits early on with our kids, it's going to help them and us in the long run. I encourage all mothers to participate and share their experiences. :cheers

    When we share the menu, let's also mention the age of our kid as it would help us to prepare age-appropriate foods.

    To start with, let me share the menu of my DD today.
    Age: 7.5 months
    Breakfast: kichdi (rice+moong dhal+carrot+beans)
    Lunch: Nestum rice cereal
    evening snack: apple puree
    dinner: Planning to give either Nestum rice cereal or sweet potato puree

    my DS today.
    Age: 12 months
    Breakfast: Egg Dosa (Dosa + egg with pepper)
    Lunch: rice with Ladies finger(rice+ghee ,ladiesfinger fried in 2tps of oil with salt and pepper+garlic)
    evening snack: apple puree + kondaikalda
    dinner: Milk rice

    I think there is thread like this already. Anyways let us make this thread active:

    Age 10 months
    Breakfast: Cheerios, rice cereal with peach purée
    Lunch: rice, moong dhal, peas
    Snacks: cranberries
    Dinner: pasta

    She had only pasta. For others she wouldn't open her mouth.

    Last 2 days, my DD is facing constipation issues. So have cut down on ragi and dhal for now

    Age: 7.5 months
    breakfast - rice cereal
    lunch - banana pureed
    snack - sweet potato pureed
    will be giving raisins soaked in hot water, hope she becomes alright soon.

    Will ragi generate body heat during summer?

    Sridevi, interesting to know you give ladiesfinger to your DS....from when did you start giving ?

    Ramya, pasta...wow. Is it the whole wheat one?

    Breakfast: moong dhal idli
    Lunch: rice, dhall, ghee, broccoli, sweet potato
    Snacks: gerber cinnamon crunch
    Dinner: same as lunch

    Lunch: bertroot, radish sambar, tuvar dhall, ghee, rice
    Dinner: same as lunch
    Snacks gerber puffs, spinach and dal water

    Age - 10 months
    Yesterdays menu:
    Breakfast-Ragi and multigrain porridge
    Mid morning Snack - half cooked Apple
    Lunch-rice,dhal and carrot
    Dinner - Ragi-rice porridge made with dal-carrot water(the leftovers of lunch, i strain it and use the same water to prepare the porridge) + banana-mango puree as desert
