I bought this for my son... brand name is Weleda and the medicine is 'Ferrum phosphoricum compound'. It is basically for cold that leads to high fever but also to be used for running nose etc., The pharmacist asked me to give 5 balls (they are very tiny) 3 times a day for my 3.5 yr old. I will not say that the cold has immediately stopped but i am very happy that i am not treating him unnecessary with chemicals. Also for babies less than a year old 3 balls, 3 times a day can be given.

Is the Weleda pills effective for your son? Can I get it in India?
My daughter is sick from the past 10 days. Since she keeps crying, she is always having cold due to running nose.
How about any Aurvedic medicine? Does anyone have any suggestions?

HI,

Whenever child catches cold we usually opt for allopathy medicines.Instead, there is a good medicine at home at our reach.

Take some Tulsi leaves, wash it under running water.Crush and squeeze to get the juice of the leaves, mix the tulsi juice with honey and give it to the child.Giving it 2 times a day ,morning once the child gets up and evening before it gets dark, cures cold very effectively.

Also you can make beetel leaf's (paan) juice and mix with honey.This is also a good medicine for cold.But remember to show the beetel leaves in flame for 2 seconds, so that its hot taste reduces.

pl try later
1 tea spoon haldi powder (turmeric powder)
½ tea spoon sugar can(gud)
½ Hing
½ tea spoon Ghee


Mix all ingredients and prepare now small ping-pong ball

Pl keep in small battle
1 ball Daily morning in the evening in the night time

very effective home made medicine

pl drink to 1 glass warm milk add to haldi powder and 1 spoon ghee

hi my son was also having cold very often. docter suggested to give PEDIMUNE every day one spoon . this english medicine will improve the imunity system of the body. it has to be given to the child after he completes 1.5 years. this protects my son frm cold, cough and fever.

Hi ladies, many of you talked about warm milk with turmeric and ghee for cough and cold. How many times can I give that, or is it better to give only before bedtime?

I only take it once for myself raj - at bedtime. Havent tried it on A yet.
