HI All, My DS is 5 months old. His food schedule is as below.. 5.30-10 AM- BM twice or thrice till 10 AM (i leave for office at 10) 10 AM -1 PM-Cerelac rice (once and then he sleeps) 1 PM- 5 PM-Enfamil feed and 1 or 2 horlicks biscuit diluted in Enfamil 5PM - 7 PM- BM Once and Quarter Apple (peeled, cooked and mashed) 7 PM - 10 PM-BM whenever he feels hungry till he sleeps He is active and has a good weight(7.4 kgs) Is this schedule enough for him or can i introduce something else in between? Please give ur suggestions
If u and ur son's pediatrician is ok with his growth then no need to worry about his current schedule much because he is only 5 months old. Since he is only 5 months old, solid food is given more to develop taste and less for nutrition. Concentrate on his BM intake at this age. HTH
i am curious about certain things... at 5 months isnt he asking any night feeds-bottle or BM??? u can actually avoid giving biscuits at this age...refined flour is not good for tiny tummies....just give him his formula.... if ur baby is hungry try giving another formula/breast feed instead.
Hi Loonypooh, In the nights he wakes up twice or thrice.I give him BM and he sleeps on my hand itself.. I m not giving him Formula milk in the night time. So i did not mention that in my schedule. He did not like the taste of Enfamil and when we added biscuits he liked it. So we continued it. Anyways i will try to avoid it.. Also i have added Mashed banana to his food chart now in the day time. he likes it..
