Lets ride down to know what are the actual meanings of the yogas that is defined in our horoscope. In my last seven years of rigorous practice in this field, I have observed these definitions have rarely failed. What a remarkable field is Astrology. Practising Astrology is like being a Doctor. You can never say you have mastered the subject as there is lot of in depth learning in the subject. Now, let us understand what does all those yogas of your horoscope mean:

YOGAS (OR YOGS) ARE IMPORTANT COMBINATIONS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY. YOGAS ARE FORMED BY PLANETS BEING ANGULAR AND WELL POSITED. THERE ARE 5 MAIN YOGAS CALLED MAHAPURUSHA YOGAS, EFFECTUATED BY MERCURY, MARS, JUPITER, VENUS AND SATURN.

Great care must be exercised while interpreting Yogas.

When a debilitated planet attains cancellation of debilitation, he becomes positive and gives rise to NEECHABHANGA RAJA YOGA (NRY). The clauses for N R Y are:

The depositor of the debilitated planet must be angular, either to the Ascendant or to the Lunar Ascendant or the exaltation dispositer should be angular, either to the Ascendant or the Lunar Ascendant. The native born in N R Y will attain kingly status.

RAYA YOGA’S are regal Yoga’s formed when some powerful planets become angular. 16 types of Raja Yoga’s are formed when Jupiter, Saturn become exalted, Moon is in own house and all are angular.

Mercury – Bhadra
Jupiter – Hans
Venus – Malvya
Saturn – Shash (Exalted or Own Sign)

HAMSA YOG (PANCH MAHA PURUSH YOG)

• Learned, wealthy, good physique, principled, religious

SASHA MAHA YOGA

The native will be famous, equivalent to a king or a minister and is tough- hearted; police and military jobs, will enjoy all the pleasures of life.

MALAVYA YOG (PANCH MAHA PURUSH YOG)

• Fame, Fortune, happy and comfortable life, magnetic personality

BHADRA MAHA YOG

• Good orator and businessman, liberal, long life, judge, clever, diplomat, wealthy, good academic education, fame and reputation, magnetic personality

RUCHAKA YOG (PANCH MAHA PURUSH YOG)

• Wealth, fame, leadership, long life, robust health, arrogance, aggressive nature, generous, Kingly life, Army or Police Service
