Default puri kizhangu curry & venthaya dosai.

Hello Mrs.Chithra,

Happened to try puri kizhangu and it reminds me of my mom's cooking. The besan qty was just perfect with the water ratio. It came out nicely without the domination of besan. Thanks for the same.

Got a chance to try the first version of venthaya dosa. I love the second version more than the first version. But, the color of the first version was quite impressive becoz of adding seed more?? unbelievable!!!! The taste also was somewhat different(good way), though could not explain clearly; but, all becoz of methi seed miracles???

Thanks n Bye.

Yes, I too think methi seed is a miracle seed. I love its unique flavour. But you must always use it judiciously in every dish !

My husband Mohan is out of town, so only tried kids friendly recipies-- chunky vegetable soup, spinach soup both came out good, but nothing cant beat the taste of "Queen Minstrone soup". also tried finger chips, mutter paneer, aloo paratha everything turned out good. I have a query, can I use any fruits like pears, apple in pasta bake recipie? thanks in advance.

love,
mohana.

one more query while baking the dish shoud I need to cover with foil or not?

Thumbs up Sweet & Sour Mangoes - My daughter gave A+

:tongue :clap

Dear Chitra Maam,

Here is my first posting. This evening as I got back from work I tried Sweet & Sour Mangoes and my daugher (who is my numero uno critic) gave A+. She loved it so much and wanted to lick the 'pathram' (lol). I've tried few more of your recipes which my family relished . Thank you once again. You're an angel.

Best rgds,

vls

Default Because you are married to Mohan, do you call yourself Mohana by default ?

Thanks for the feedback - I remember hearing from you from you after quite a few days, right ?
yes, minestrone is a one-meal soup which has no equal !
Please do not substitute for pineapple. Only pineapple has a slighty tangy taste & gives the correct balance to pasta.
Do not cover with foil in any recipe, unless specifically mentioned. Browning will not set in.
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Default I am baiting you with photos !

Dear suba,
Now everyday I am editing & adding photos, when I make any dish at home.
So many old postings are getting a " dressed up look " now !!!!
When my daughter decided to learn cooking, she insisted she will first learn ennai kathirikkai kuzambu, make it for her friends & " impress" them in the first stroke !
It did happen also.
The purpose of detailed photos as for stuffed & plaited bread, is to tempt you all to try it !
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Default You are my " original name" sake !

Dear Mohana,
I was named Mohanavalli, by my grandfather, after the deity in Thirumohur near Madurai, when I was born ! Ofcourse the original name gave way to the present one in the long run !
So best wishes from Mohana Sr to Mohana Jr !
Love & regards,
Chithra.
