    Dear Chitra madam;
I have some confusion in step 4 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/2159-post1.html. Is it between the refrigerator base and the container?
Also one more doubt. I have 2 plus bottles of applesauce. What can I do with it?
    -Nitha

Yes, Nitha, you are right. It is just that there should not be direct contact which will harden the bottom portion of ice cream.
    Please note this:
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce equals 1 egg
¾ cup-1 cup of applesauce equals 1 cup of butter or oil; replace just half
    cakes, quick breads, brownies
I have noted the above from a vegan cook book.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Sumisen,
4 cups is a comfortable measure though there may be just a few extra.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    amma,

my son insits that i decorate the cake the way it has to be. I had already done one using y'r frosting recipe. However, i couldn't find a recipe for the soft peaks ones. I did have a commercial one some time back. Read thru' the ingredients since it had a few from animal source.

Do u 've a recipe from the scratch and that too eggless? Pls ignore it if it is too much of a hastle for u. Anyway, we all enjoy most of y'r [ eggless ] cake recipes [ carrot -choc muffin in particular b'cos the presence of carrots makes it a better option.} .

    Vanakkam,

    Dear Mrs.Chitra

I tried hi and low in the links to find out a recipe which is a big favorite of mine. I did it long back but not able to locate it now.

Its south indian kootu(like poricha) but with chow chow and carrot (not sure if it had potatoes too) . It can be had with Chapathi too. (that was your suggestion and I tried eating with chapathi too)

It was so easy to make and have been thinking about it for some time but not able to locate it.

Not sure if it had a link of its own, or it was part of another recipe(generally you give tips like that this combination can be used)

So sorry for such a vague question but it was a very good recipe

    Thanks
    Geetha
