Old lady?? who? where what? hmm... I am sure you have dyed your hair white to look old and dignified.

BTW, who are the adorable babies in the pictures on your refrigerator?

I am sure most ILites who are regular at your forum will be in the same pose as yours. I have a load of FBs, but it is midnight, will be back with them tomorrow.

Love

Dear Chitrama,
As Archana & Vidya said we can not see any old lady, we can only see sweet icon of inspiration to all of us here :) you are sweet 16 always ( hahahha big icea!!!!!)

Now for the fb, made MW Lapsi-Oats porridge for breakfast today. Made only with oats since no time to soak lapsi and garnished with purple seedless grapes. Wow the porrridge was so tatsy, never imagined such a simple dish can turn out so tasty. Just wondering how did i miss this recipe all this while but now on this porridge is going to be a regular bf in my home.
Thanks Chitrama for all the healthy recipes :)
Love,
PS

Dear Chitramma,

As Archana said we are not able to see any old lady there... Having grey hairs is not the sign of being old.. and I am sure you will never become old... It is a lovely photograph which is such an inspiration to all... I sometimes feel so guilty to take the laptop to kitchen to do the cooking... But now I can even do it proudly... :)

Love,
Vidyaa

Forgot to give you the FB's... I made Iyengar pulikachal for one of my friend on sunday as she has conceived a baby.. I visited her and gave her a bottle full of pulikachal.. and we too had it in the afternoon for lunch.. Everyone liked it..especially J liked it.. and the taste was very unusual...

Then this morning again jiffy oats dosai helped me a lot...thank you a lot for all the jiffy recipes... Saw red keerai in the market yesterday and made greens- mango avial for today's lunch... J tasted it and said, it is ok but not like the one we tasted in your house... I asked him how can you expect me(novoice) to cook like that...It became a little watery...But the taste was good...

Hello Mami,
Lovely pic :) Looks like you have made your own way of an island kitchen :D

Made sambhar sadham yday night for dinner, awesome as ever. Though I make masoor dhal sadham, tur dhal sadham etc quite often, once in a while we crave for the "original" sambhar sadham. It is simply better flavoured than all the other ones.:) After such a craving yday we hogged on it with chips and appalam etc.

Finally got to try your idli batter recipe as well. I usually grind for idlis the normal way, first urad then rice separately and mix them, and it gives me very soft idlis. So there was this huge inertia to try out a different recipe.:D But after seeing Latha's post yday I thought I'll give it a try. They came out awesome, super soft. Actually I dint want to even hold them tight while eating, for fear of hurting them, such softness!!! My kiddo and DH loved it too. We had it with Bombay Chutney, the jiffiest side dish ever!

Cheers,
Nithya
