Dear Chitramma,

Ofcourse I have frozen half the maavu..i have told amma we will have it coming Sunday.. (We are leaving next Monday).. Also we will be gone only for 4 days.

Bread box is like a loaf tin but rectangle in shape with no curves. It is in aluminium only and it has a cover also.. I saw in Currimbuoys(adyar) yesterday and they didnt have a loaf tin . I didnt buy it just wanted to check with you before buying..

Yes, will try dough kneading next. In all the FP frenzy, forgot to give my actual FB itself :D I made one dish dhal yday for dinner. It was so awesome. Very uniquely different from any other dhal because of the unusual combo of veggies. It was absolutely yummy.

Latha, now laugh more loudly - my Periamma used to keepa small vella katti inside the kozukkatai before steaming for the sweet-toothed ones!!

Dear Chithra madam,

I fried exactly the way you have mentioned, but since mine is elctric stove I think it takes some time for the heat to reduce by which time the kachori's are already cooked and I think thats the reason it was not crispy. Maybe next time I will keep oil in two vessels, one really hot and the other in medium heat.

Dear Chithra Mami,

Back here after a break - been busy with work and kids. Made methi-tomato kuzhambu yesterday. DH is not a big fan of peanuts in curries so I did not want to make it the main kuzhambu. So made it thicker and had it with mulagoottal like a pachadi. With its tanginess it was a great combo and everyone enjoyed it, even DH!

Today BIL left to chennai .. I made Peas soup, Channa Mint pulao,Senai fry, Semiya bahala bath , Pal payasam . He relished it ..

oh chithramma that's pramadhamana idea. vellam inside kozhukattai... nenaikave naakula ...

finally FB for authentic Sharjah. the dates itself was sooo sweet that there was no need for sugar. i had malted soya powder that will now come handy in many more shakes and drinks.

What you refer to is a loaf tin as well. Use it without cover. It is quite useful.
