Thanks, Nitha. Easy veg pulao, though easy, does not compromise on taste!
I hope your last para was not 'intentional' on your part!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithramma,

Lunch menu today made greens dhal again with lemon rice. Now I've become expert in cooking basmati rice uthiri uthiri in PP... that itself lends a special taste to such kalanda saadams. The greens dhal i did add coconut and in-law was very pleased with the taste. So now i'm convincing him that once in a while coconut, carrot is okay:) dinner kashmiri roti. as usual it stayed super soft. I made them at 4 pm itself and DH just returned home and they stayed so fresh. thotukka normal c.flr-peas curry. oh maranthu poittene... lunch menu also included semiya bahalabath with cucumber, mor milagai and purple grapes.

Dear latha,
you are sooooooooooo sweet to send the tip. Thanks a lot. Infact i sprinkled little flour on top pf the fruits. I think it is not sufficient.I will try next time with bread crumps. I should have over mixed the batter(.
i think). But thank god, the cake is over now.
Today i am planning to bake Blur berry muffin( eggless) Hope it will turn out good.
Thanks once again latha dear

Dear Visalamkrishnan,

I have a question for you. Where do you buy the blue berries in B'lore? I too am in Blore and have not found them anywhere. Similarly for other uncommon baking items - where do you get them?

My daughter loves blueberry cheesecake but I dont know where to get them so as to make them.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Vidya

Dear Latha, personally, I think PP is a wonder gadget. Even for kuzambu I do not have a separate vessel. One PP & a small pr cooker are ideal for making the dishes for a three course meal.
Yes, the dieticians say that carrit, coconut are all OK occasionally.A highly diabetic friend says she is advised to take sweet potato by her dietician & gave me the recipe for S P chaat.
You seem to be carrying mormilakai et al, from here, religiously!!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithra,
I ate the leftover rava idli for dinner yesterday, it was really soft then too.
Today I made rava dosai and coriander-tomato chutney for breakfast, sooooooooooooooo tasty. R went on eating one after another and giving such good comments in between. Amma too loved it and had one extra.
I am like a small girl trying to impress her mother, I am cooking well now only, after your forum. My FIL is a out and out rava dosai lover and we remembered him today when we had it. May his soul rest in peace!

Nice FB, Varloo! Rava idli is one tiffin which you can make in advance & keep - it is so good, when cold!
At any age (of ours), pleasing mothers is not easy, Varloo. So, thank God!!
If PROPERLY MADE, rava dosai has no parallel!!
Love,
Chithra.
