Vahee, puliyodharai is such a delicacy - how did you miss out all these days??
Laptop in the kitchen is an excellent idea more PRACTICALLY just like I used to keep my recipe note by the stove-side!
I am amzed that you are involving Nagla sooooooo much in cooking!! But I like it too & appreciate you!
Love,
Chithra.

Yes, Vidyaa, I too often take the printouts of new recipes to try, before starting the cooking!!
Varalotti once wrote in a thread that Chitvish enters the kitchen with karandi in one hand & digicam in the other!! I wqon't say, it is not true!!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithu,

Well, i'm here after a break. Neverthless I made some of your recipies when i found time.
The last one i tried this weekend was yummy Avial+Tamarind Rice. Grand mom in law is here with me and she made aval vadaam. It was a heavenly combo.

Now, R is out of country and guess what.. he demanded that i send him some recipies and i have mailed all the Insant sambhar/rasam/kootu and ofcourse simple jiffy rices too..
Hes very enthusiastic to cook and i'm sure hes now gonna hop in here to give you F.B's

Will be here regularly from now on! But i hate to make this choppu samayal for 1.5 person (me & Grand MIL)

Dear Chitramma

I made Corn on toast.,mocha and cold coffee yet again. Also made repeat of Peerkangai masiyal in MW. Absolutely good. Tomorrow's breakfast is Aappam with Coconut milk.. already soaked rice. Today evening snack is repeat Paneer Pakoras.

Couldnt help adding .. I have almost all your recipes printed out.. apart from that I write down the recipes that I repeat often in notebooks so that I can just pass it on to Suraabi when she grows up.. (I have already finished one book and halfway thru the other one, thanks to you )

Thanks a lot for everything mam and also awaiting your PM(for UK).

Love
Shyamala

Dear Mrs.Chitra,
Made Jiffy tomato thokku. Yummy! Excellent bright red color and super tangy taste. Very convenient to use with rotis, dosai etc. Today had it with toast.
Thankyou.
Regards,
Deepa

dearest chitra mami

i ended up making damrot halwa. i had frozen pumpkin from last yr's halloween. such a lovely dish. at one stage i thought i had messed it up bcoz the raw smell of the pumpkin was not going, then realised the stove was very low. then increased it some more and vadakified a little bit and voila what a diff in smell and taste. i have made it into small balls. so it is damrot balls rather than halwa.

today for lunch mint pulao. we have soooo much mint growing at home, this is almost the second harvest in two weeks. mint pulao is the easiest of all i think. and adding raw mint that too full leaves makes it even more easier and so fragrant.

thx for the lovely recipes.
luvs
shyamals.

Latha, I read this but missed out to reply. PP ulagam is full of utility value!!
If you had been introduced to IL earlier, your in-laws must have garlanded you with "pugazh malai"!
Love,
Chithra.
