Believe me, Vidhs, this morning I did think of you & here you are!!
I tried my US niece's version of avocado dip, not exactly glucamole, by coarse grinding, avocado, small onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, very little tomato, salt & lime juice.
Yes, pasiparuupu idli, after reading your comment, reminds me of dhokla.
Now I keep MW dried puthina & methis to make parahas with them 'at the drop of a hat'!!
Thanks.
Love,
Chithra.

Mathashri, I tried methiche varan last week. The mw dried methi powder was so nice, that I made some for mom too. I added a dollop of butter while serving with rice, it was so yummy. Yesterday did the naturopathy diet poha bahala bhath with white pumkins. It was good, though it takes a while to get used to the raw flavour of the pumpkin.

Also tried palak + paneer salad. Is the palak supposed to be dried fully? When I was making, it just kept watering away even after it had shrunk.

Dear Chitramma,

Thanks.. with soo many interesting FBs and lip-smacking photos, my heart doesnt want to relax at all.. Made the creamy yummy Cream of Mushroom Soup and waiting for S to come home to try it.. He doesnt like Mushroom but has promised me he will try this one without prejudice. Lil S is sleeping so yet to give it to her. She likes mushroom esp when I make Mushroom Exotica but awaiting her verdict on this cos this has milk in it.. .

Thanks for all your sure win recipes.

Love
Shyamala

Beti, I am happy, you are making full use of MW + convection.
You added butter - I add ghee!
I think, the raw flavor was not much pronounced in PBB!!
Saute the palak in a few drops oil in a kaai on low fire. The moisture will evaporate.
Love,
Chihra.

Brindha, this is a great FB!!To be frank, I never imagined cucumber palida will 'go places' like this!! It is themustard-methi combo which makes it sooo good!
Thanks.

Ss, very often you have to 'disguise' milk & give children! Hope she likes this more because it is very creamy!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear chitramma,
Y'day evening i prepared akki roti and everyone enjoyed it. As i don't have a thin cloth. I prepared it little thin in the pan itself. I pour little oil in the pan and keep a big dough and pat it with hand in the pan itself...
If i don't have a thin cloth, is there a way that i can pat it outside thepan and latter transfering it to the paN.

love..
lakshmi..

dearest chitra mami

today being amavasai, we resorted to jain. i was a little tired so my DH did vendaikai sambar and beans curry. later i made ragi kanji for my fil. kanji seems to actually taste good. cant hav it everyday though. once a while changea irukalamnu thonithu. i am quite tempted by all the fbs here but till Vyas comes back to normal, I may just take it easy. today's lunch i took the leftover mango rice.. really lipsmacking. my DH said, "mami kalaki pottiruka, she is way ahead of her times really, must thk her for making our lives so tasty "

luvs
