Vidya, I am always in a hurry !

    Dear Vidya,
I enjoy this interaction with everyone of you so very much that I like to answer at my earliest - if I am online when your query arrives, then there is no reason why I should not answer !
I do not remember if I have posted khoa making ( I have posted mock khoa in tips recently). Khoa making goes here - boil milk ( preferably full fat for a good yield) & continue to boil ( making sure it does not overflow) till it becomes a mass like thick paste. Non- stick saucepan which is wide is best. In Chennai, we get very good khoa & so we find it easier to buy !
For kala jamun, khoa is a must, I feel.
Your query - vazaippoo kootu will be posted this week ! The vadai was really very good, I thought.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Sure Jana !

    Dear Jana,
I can post all your requests except karnataka pulao. That I have to wait till my Bangalore friend arrives on her next Chennai trip !
I am posting kaju curry on your request, this evening ! I did not make it for obvious reasons - ofcourse I made it years back when my children were young. So if you try it, please post a feedback !
I am glad you tried both the celery rice & shakarpara so fast.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Try these two.

    Dear Purnima,
Just warm little coconut oil & crumble camphor in it. Apply it LIGHTLY on nose, forehead, temple etc & also on chest & back.
The other is to put a very light & mild (manjal) kunguap pathu on the forehead, temple etc.
Anything sould be applied very lightly for a baby.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    DEar Purnima

I have tried this suggestion of Mrs. Chithra's.You can apply the oil-camphor using a betel leaf.Just take a drop of this oil, apply on a betel leaf and apply on the chest and back. This really works wonders.

    Cheers

    Thank You very much

Thank you very much Mrs CV and Sunitha. Actually my MIL had suggested this way long back for Hrudya, somehow slipped out of my mind. I shall try it immediately and let you know the results.

Thank you once again for the timely help!

    dear chitra

Thank you for kaju paneer recipe. I am trying tonight and will tell you tomorrow. I have also made ammini kozhakattai and aval payasam yesterday- same old news, it was excellent! Today I have also made arrangement to make matri with a friend, I think two+two hands are needed. Chitra, can you please teach me to make Noth Indian style chivda by your method? Can you also teach me some chaklis using less arisi mavu, more North style. In Maharashtra they even use maida, godumai maavu etc. Please take your time. Thank you for everything. Jana
