Dear Nithya,
Believe me, I was wondering why no post from you for quite sometime!
So, you are busy, getting ready?
You can make rava dosa mix & dry mix of Kancheepuram idli also.
I am giving a recipe for dosa mix, which please try & let me know also. It is my aunt's - but I have never tried it.
Grind in the flour machine together
Wheat - 2 level cups
Raw rice - 2 heaped cups
Methi seeds - 3 tsp
Urad dhal 1/3 cup (not more)
Mix with water for 2-3 hrs, add salt & make dosas.
Remember, Nithya, this is just an emergency dosai.
For idlus, use K idli mix without spices.
Havre a good trip. Keep in touch.
Love,
Chithra.

I am traveling to Germany with my less than 2 yr old daughter for a period of 3 months and want to be well prepared for the trip with respect to food for her.. I have already stocked enough items to make upma, rava idli etc, but I want to know if we can make a readymix dosai and idli maavu just like you have given for adai mavu. Can we mix arisi maavu and urad powder and store it? So that if we add water we can make dosai/idli? She prefers idli or dosai in the mornings so I am wondering what I will do without it! This is because I will not be having a mixie in my apt there. Please let me know.

Regards,
Nithya

Dear Priya,
You can take any drink except lassi type. Carrot-coriander, apple-tomato, carrot milk shake, - anything can be taken. But if possible, take a shaker to be used before serving the drinks & ice cubes separately.
Love,
Chithra.
