Dear Avita,
2 yrs back, I got the recipe from a friend, tried it & took a photo as well. But now I find that the recipe is missing - probably a computer virus which affected my system last year has deleted it.I do not want to post it, depending on my memory!
I will keep your request in mind.It is a Tuticorin recipe, as far as I know.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Kapuchu,
Thanks.
If IL has already started changing your routine, we, at IL cannot ask for a better complement.
Laziness is one quality which we have to learn to "suppress" in our life!!
Love,
Chithra.

Its really a eye opener ...and slowly my routine is also changing after joining in here with trying new recepies and also reading slokas and going through various threads.

Thankyou again for sharing withus.

Dear Hema,
It is overwhelming to read your post.
As much as my parents, my MIL was instrumental in making me develop self-discipline. She used to go through her day with clockwise precision - she used a Palghat word called "chittai" for that. I did take a little time to organise myself following her; but the rewards were great!
Love,
Chithra.

I also follow your vedanta write-ups and slokas and your puja formats. I know you don't like this word, but yes you are my "role model'. You are my Guru in every aspect. Thank you very much for being here and guiding us so selflessly.

With lots of love and respect
Hema

Dear San,
To deskin, pour boiling water over & leave covered for an hour.
Remove skin & chop long thin strips with a knife. Now we get a slicer for that, gifted to me by an IL ite. It cuts into very thin slices, but not only lengthwise.
Love,
Chithra.

A Day in the Life of.............. Dear Chithra

Dear Chithra

Oh.................... What a read ! What a well-organised Day! What a Discipline! You are a complete PACKAGE of Well Woman. Congratulations and my Due Respects to you.

When I started reading, I was mentally calculating ok....... this much for this, this much time for that......... still I fell short of time....... I always wished 24 hours in a day is NOT ENOUGH. But reading yours, you do soooooooooo many things, still manage to sleep at 9:30 /10:00 PM................ I am amazed. My preparation of any snacks / sweets start only at 9:00 PM after finishing the day's work. As I am working person, I return home only at 6:00PM.

Though every day I think, that tomorrow onwards I should change my routine, get up early, start............. but somehow it is becoming next to impossible as I sleep only around 12:00 midnight.

Your letter has been an inspiration for me like my fellow ILites, and plan refresh myself in a better way without complaints or cribs that I am over-worked. Reading your routine, none of us is over-worked in my opinion.

You are one of the most ardent members of ILites, I believe. So dedicated, to reply every single mail of any query, individually thanking every appreciative mails, giving guidance, trying new recipes, posting them with pictures.......taking things in your stride in a positive way. YOU ARE TRULY A GREAT HUMAN BEING IN GENERAL and A GREATER WOMAN IN PARTICULAR. You are a Role Model for us.

My MiL is also a person of "CHITTAI", highly disciplined and follow everything as per time at her age of 78 even now. I get sometimes irritated seeing her way of living. She has no medication at this age. No qualms of any disease. But now I feel I should appreciate her more rathar than irritation.

I thank all ILites who have thanked me and got inspiration from A Day in the Life of Chithra Vishwanathan" - A query posted by me and well replied by GR8 CV.

I too will take a print out of your schedule and try to follow as much as possible.

My Respects and Warm Regards to you
Shanti
