Dear Chithra Mam,

The words which i specified earlier are really from the bottom of my heart. You are doing an excellent help to our society. There is no words to express my gratitude to you.

And the Oats which i have..... says "Traditional Oats Porridge" , in the box.
Im really sorry, the colour which i have is ..... white with little bit of brown ., but not entirely brown. Its my mistake .....
I hope that i can make pongal with this, but i want to confirm with you before i do. Sorry for troubling you again.

Thanks & Regards,
suba

Oats is (off)white in colour. so, if the colour is brown, it may not be oats at all.
Since you write halwa was yummy, I am unable to give you a correct answer.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Suba,
From what you write, I think you can try pongal with it. Do go ahead - but be careful with water unless you want a little mushy pongal! ( I like mine that way & not grainy) !
I am here, loving to be troubled!! Do not just bother to ask me any doubt !
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Mrs.Chitra

Not sure if you have mentioned or wrote about the post pregnancy diet in a different thread, but thought of asking you if in case you haven't

Can you also write what needs to be specifically brought from India like herbs/powders that needs to be consumed after delivery . My mom is going to be here but since this is her first grandchild am sure she might be equally anxious . So it would be great if you could post a chart like the pregnancy chart which is really useful

Sorry if its too much work for you, thought of asking you anyway

Geetha

Dear Geetha,
I have not so far posted a diet chart for post pregnancy. I will ask my dietician & get back to you. Otherwise, I will give a simple do's & don'ts.
The main things are Vasambu & lehiyam. The latter can be bought in Dabba Chetty or Venkatramana Ayurvedic dispensary. Both are in Mylapore.
I was giving Ruby for a month Jeerarishtam & Dasamulaarishtam, for general digestion & health twice after food. This is purely optional.
I would not suggest you to give urai marundu for the baby, living in an alien country. Now the rules for the new-born are very different & I am not competent to suggest anything !
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Kala,
As far as I know, we need convection for pizzas. Cutlets can only be cooked on stove top,
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Mrs.Chitra
Thanks for the suggestion.

Would like to know where to buy the Jeerarishtam and Dasamulaarishtam. is that available in Kerala arya vaidya or in Dubba Chetty kadai? I would ask amma to buy that.

Is there a way to eat Vasambu?

Looking forward to your post pregnancy recipes. No hurries. Pls take your time

Thanks
Geetha

Dear Geetha,
Those 2 arishtams can be bought in Kottakkal or any arya vaidyasala. They will also instruct, hoe they should be taken.
Vasambu is for the baby, more for external application on the stomach area etc.
Love,
Chithra.
