Happy Pongal to you and the all members of the IL!
I bought green tomatoes but I dont have any idea what to do with that. It would be great if you suggest any recipes or if you have already given the recipes the name of the recipe.
Dear Geetha,
I have given Green Tomato Kootu in Shakambari. You can also make pitlai, but with very less tamarind.
Happy pongal to you & yours.
Love,
Chithra.

I saw your pongal recipe using pressure cooker and have tried it many times.
Can you please let me know what are the dos/don't/cautions etc to be taken while making Sakkarai pongal and ven pongal in the traditional 'vengala' panai.
This is what we will be using tomorrow.
Dear Ramya,
Traditional vengala panai is easier to handle than pr cooker. Once boiling starts, reduce the flame & keep on stirring very often so that "it does not catch" at the bottom. That is he only main precaution to be taken.

Chithra.
Dear Chitra,
I noted that you have immediately updated the festival recipes menu. Thank you for the timely help. This is extremely useful for those outside India.

Dear Santasekar,
As far as I know, there is no substitute for liquid glucose.
I do not know the recipe for floral cashew sweet.
Please go to Khaju katli recipe. Take it one patham earlier & try moulding it in that shape. May be that will work !

Chithra.
