Hi Chithra:

I saw your masal mochai recipe. In the US we dont get fresh mochais hence bought dried ones. Bohhy, I tell you once cooked it tasted bitter. How do I use the dried version , inputs please!!!

Hi Seetha,
We use dry mochai regularly without any problem! May be that batch was not good, is all that I can say! If you fail a second time, switch over to the recipe with potato-it is called masal kizhangu & is very famous in Madurai! In fact, I adapted the potato recipe to mochai because one day, when I tried, it came out very tasty!

Please can you share the recipes for spicy brinjal masala they make for Veg Biriyani?

I am planning to make Veg Biriyani + raita for some guests coming home. I would aslo love to make another gravy that would go well with biriyani and thought of spicy brinjal masala.
