Dear Ami,
I am just planning navarathri sundals as
Navarathri - Nava Payasam - Nava Sundal.

I make only kootu with green tomatoes - it is not much available here.

I use tupperware oil containers. For service, I use small stainless steel ennaik kinnams with tiny spoons.
Love,
Chithra.

More than myself, my friends are curiously awaiting to eat yr sundal recipe. Do u have any different masala powder recipe (the powder we use for sundal) or any sundal recipe? Pls pls post it for us..

And, if there is any green tomato recipe, pls post it for me too. Have lots of the same and tried a couple of times the kootu & sambar recipes. So, it is time for a change!!

What container do u use for keeping oil? Tried the mustard sauce container which is available here and total waste. The oil is leaking thro its sides & also tried one from madras to pour over dosa, total waste again. Pls suggest me..

Thanks..

Dear Chithra,
I usually make buttermilk & store in a steel jug for consuming. But my friend tells not to store as metal will react with the more ; plus I'm not comfortable storing in plastic jar because I feel some smell is coming in the buttermilk. So, only glass jar is left but that also not easy to handle as my son is very very careless & will promptly break the heavy jug or worse hurt himself while using it .
Can you give a solution ---- hope I haven't confused you 'more' ...!!

Dear Kurunji Malare,
It is not advisable to store buttermilk in metal containers.
It can be stored in ceramic, glass & mud containers.
Now I have started storing in Tupperware boxes, for the past 6, 7 yrs & find them very good. Tupperware is food grade, so no worries.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithra
I was wondering how difficult is it to get a nutrition analysis of our recipes. You know the breakdown as far as calories, fat etc.. just curious. Thanks.

Dear Pavi,
I posted rice vadai in the name of
Milk Vadai
You know, Pavi, it has to be made only with rice. That day in the excitement of your visit, I used rice flour. Please try this way. It comes out much better.
I will post Mysorepak today !
Love,
Chithu.
