Hi Padma,

I read your mail and Chitra's reply. Here I want to suggest something, I think Chitra will not mind for this.

Padma, youcan prepare 'Thuvials' like coriender, curry leaves, mint, ginger and garlic and keep them inthe freezer. Make them by using less water and make small balls of them and keep. So that your husband can take one for one day and use.

You can prepare 'Tomato consentrate' and 'Tomato thukku' and keep them inthe freezer. This willhelp your husband to prepare tomato rice by adding the 'tomato concendrate' and can use as side dish for chappati, idly and dosa.

He can also use Tomato thukku as side dish.

You can make 'puli Paste' and keep in the normal shelf of the fridge and he can make any kuzhumbu out of that.

Make 'pulikaichal' and keep in the fridge.

Hope this will help you.

Dear Padma,
You can make rasam and freeze them in an ice cube tray and transfer to a zip lock bag and freeze it. Your hubby can take out as many cubes as he wants and defrost heat and have. I heard about this method from a lady who is a long time resident of US. Even you can make paruppu separately for usili, cook veg. for the same and store separately. This wil also be helpful.
Chithra, I know you would not mind about giving our ideas too. So I have not apologised to you.

And made corainder chutney too last week. Was very good. Sorry, am writing in a very unorganised manner.

Hello Nirmala,
Pease go to
http://www.indusladies.com/forums/33033-post137.html
You can cut off paneer & tomato puree.
The filling can be lightly roasted besan + red chilli pdr + dhaniya pdr + hadi + hing + salt. Mix with little oil. Select 1/4 kg tender bhindis & cut off tops. Make a vertical slit & stuff. In a sauce pan, heat 2 tbsp oil, temper jera & add the bhindis. Cover & cook on a low fire till done.
Did you try sweet & sour vegs? - I posted it on your request ??!!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Nithya,
if you have Micor wave oven, you can make like this. Take away the outer leaf like covering and clean well. No need to wash. Cover the corn with cling film tighly and microwave for 2 min., turn around and again for 2 min. Take out and wait for some time. Then peel off the film, and rub with a lemon half dipped in chillipd.+salt+lemon juice+ chat masala and rub well on all sides and eat hot. I make like this. Because of MW it will not brown.
