Hello Nalini,
Welcome to this forum.
Since I do not use soya in my cooking, I have not given recipes with it. I am sorry for not being able to help you.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chitra,

It was my express with to prepare ragda patties for lunch today. Made an extra trip to the store and bought vattani and soaked it overnight and first thing in the morning, started cooking it in a pan, not the pressure cooker! Checked mails etc and by the time I went back to the kitchen, the peas were all burnt:icon_frown::mad:

Well...soaked another lot...in hot water and covered it and kept. Do you think, I can still make the ragda after soaking the peas only for two hrs and not overnight. This time, ofcourse I will use the pressure cooker to cook.
What do you think, will it work?? Pl let me know, I have another couple of hrs before I can proceed!
TIA.

L, Kamla

My dear Kamla,
Pour boiling water again over it, adding a pinch of soda & keep it in a tight casserole. It will soak well. Wash off the soda, add a pinch of salt & cook in pr cooker.
Wish you good luck - happy ragda-patties eating !!
Love,
Chithra.

I know I can count on you........what else:)
Yes, I have done just that, soaked it in very hot water. But did not add soda, can rectify that immediately. Thank you. This time...there sure will be a feedback:)
Btw, made vegetabel cutlets with beetroot and all for friends and no need to add, it was one big success. Thank you. Made them in heart shapes, this being the month of Valentine:)

Dear ChitVish,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I also had called my mom today and she gave the recipe...very much similar to what you have given. Except that she does not use curd. We have to fry little bit of urad dal, hing and green chillies and grind it with de-seeded amla, fresh coconut and coriander leaves. If we prefer we can add 4-5 whole black peppers at the end while grinding. Finaly garnish it will urad dal, mustard seeds in little oil.

Regards,
Sihi

My dear Teja,
I have given many recipes with horsegram. It is called Kollu in Tamil.
Please see
Bhaths - no: 38
Kuzambus - 43, 53
rasams - 14
Tiffins - Kollu dosai, kollu sprout pongal, kollu upma ( all in the second part if tiffins index)
Tips - 65
When you have leisure, please go through the recipe index in detail, just to know what all recipes have been given by me in this forum, so that you can make a note of whatever interests you.
Thanks for the interest you are showing.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Teja,
A friend has given me a glossary of main pulses, cereals, vegs etc, recently or you can refer on the net as well.
Please feel free to ask in this forum - anybody who knows will post a reply.
Love,
Chithra.
