| Thanks Chithra mam, thanks sowmi, chithra mam i actually followed ur timing only but it didn't come up for 1 litre.. but yesterday i was able to see bubbles (froth kind of )in the milk.. the mistake that i hav made it i kept the milk that i took right from the fridge day before , so it has obviously taken more time to bring it to normal temp and then boil.. yesterday.. first i kept for 10 min then increased the timing by 1 min every time and i cud get it boiling in 15 min , and i don't hav hi lo options i hav setting of microwave power.. ur hi is 800W means what is the power level for lo and medium (if its there).. sowmi i will try your method today and let u know..i do hav a autoreheat option and u are very true.. my mind set is like even in milk cooker i boil it so much that the lid opens and the milk comes out then only i feel it is well boiled... regards, Anupama |

| Dear Anupama, The timing varies with each MW. So, by trial & error only, you can find out your MW timings. Since we buy pasteurise milk, I personally feel, the "obsession for pongufying" should be less ! Love, Chithra. Quote:

| Dear Anupama, Thanks for your F B. For trying out sweets in MW, I suggest you use a bigger vessel, since on rising, any sweet is likely to overflow. Please look out for the Kovil Puliyodarai recipe in the second page of my recipe index. Kovil Puliyodarai Chillies are not ground, as you say. I make it using pepper powder, freshly ground. Please find time to go through the 2 pages in recipe index in detail. Love, Chithra. Quote:

| Dear Chitra mami, First of all I thank u very much for all the useful tips on MW cooking. Actually, the apartment we're living has MW and i've not been using it for the past six months. it's only after reading ur tips, i've started using it for the past 3 days. Cooking has become very easy , after this. It saves a considerable amt of time. I boil milk, cook rice, vegetables. & above all i tried Mysore pak. & It came out well.I've never tried MPak even without MW & I really felt happy that it has come out well with MW. All the credit goes to u. But , I've a doubt - MPak has come out soft ,but i feel that 'kadalai mavu vasanai ' is still there. one reason i could guess is, may be the flour is an old one . but could there be anyother reason.. Today i prepared pongal for tiffin, that also came out well. Thanks a lot once again. regards ksv |

| Dear ksv, Glad to know that you have settled down with using MW daily. For mysorepak, besan has to be very fresh; only then the resuts will be good. It is very important ! Happy MW cooking. Love, Chithra. |

| Dear Chitamami, Saw ur collections of vessels for MW . Have copied them in a file format so that when we purchase it would be helpful. It needs a good heart ie ' nalla manasu venum' to share with others what ever u know. In that way ur gifted. Right now i'm in Finland, but when I come to chennai , (may be in another 2 months..) will surely try to contact you. Thank you so much. regards, ksv |
