Plain besan is very good as a bhath powder. Since I do not know the appropriate hindi words, I am not able to help you any further. In tamil shops, ask for "vasanai podi" or "Kasthuri turmeric powder", mix with besan & use.

One can start drinking from the 6th month itself, no problem. It does not create any adverse effect at all.
Delivery overdue by a week is a normal thing, possible reason can be late conception. Do not think, this kashayam will help early delivery etc. This eases out all odd pains & acts as a diuretic, thats' all.
