Default About garden again

I have attached Some more pictures of our garden. This year for the first time we had mangoes for Tamil New year from our mango tree. It is really nice to cook our own garden products. I pluck tomatoes and green chillies as and when I want them Our curry leaves are also got a very nice smell and it gives a special flvour to rasam and sambar. But we do not get dhaniya though we tried many times. Our guava trees are flowering now. Can you believe it? We got nearly one and half Kgs of coconut oil from our coconuts. The flowers we are gettig from our garden would cost us at least 25 to 30 Rs per day. But the pleasure we get by doing puja with flowers from our garden is more than the money value.

Dear Pushpavalli
I am sure you have heard of this story but will repeat it for the benefit of those who may not have known it.
Among the Pandavas, Arjun was known for his elaborate poojas with cartloads of flower offerings to the Lord daily but Bhima was simple in his devotion. He reared a rose plant in the garden and offered the roses from the plant to the Lord everyday. Arjun was quite proud of his own elaborate poojas as compared to his brother. The all-knowing Lord knew of this thought in Arjun's mind.
He took Arjun to the Heavens one day and there Arjun saw cartloads of flowers being taken. When he looked askance at the Lord, He explained that they were flowers offered by Bhima in worship. Arjun was astounded! A little distance away, a thin person was carrying a small basket of withered flowers in the same direction! The Lord explained that these were flowers offered by Arjun himself! Arjun instantly knew that pomp and show in poojas took no one nearer God and his ego vanished completely.
Your floral offering from your own garden is like the offering Bhima made. Your flowers will get multiplied million times before they reach Him
Sri

Dear Pushpavalli,
This being my first interaction with you, please accept my greetings, as a new-comer to I L .

By writing that

But the pleasure we get by doing puja with flowers from our garden is more than the money value.

You have proved the truth of the Gita verse 9-26

Pathram pushpam palam thoyam yo me bhakthyaa prayachathi
Thavaham bhakthyupahruthamashnaami prayathaatmana:

Pure devotion means more to the Lord than monetary offerings - Cheeniya said it right.

Love,
Chithra.

Dear Pushpavalli,

A garden as floral and fragrant as your name! I was so happy to see the produce and flowers. Always has been my dream to have a small garden with simple herbs, veggies and pooja flowers. Hope your garden gives more happiness.

regards
Vidya

Dear Sri,
Thank you for posting the story about Bhima and Arjuna. I have not heard this story. But I do know that with whole-hearted devotion if we just offer thulasi and thirtham, The Lord accepts it Gracefully.
Thank you,
Pushpavalli
