Thumbs down The new formula for success as a circle

Each and everybody works with a motto in life.We work hard to achieve what we desire. We always estimate people by the measurement of success in their life.Very often we get frustrated by the failures in our life. The problem is we consider failure as a failure. Why not we take it as a tool to reshape our future? When we are crossed by failures,it is so common that our hopes get shattered and we fall into despondency. We think that the success comes to the other person just so easily.

When viewing a successful person externally every thing looks so casual & cool.Is it not?We tend to speak “He is so fortunate.Luck favours for him.He is enjoying all comforts in life. His properties are profuse. What more!” and console ourselves saying “Time does not support us.Our fate is to live with this meagre salary”. It is at this stage that I need to tell some thing about success.

Just view the concept of success as a circle.A successful person travels through several dots in his life.It is all those dots which constitute a circle. Here what I mean by dots is his pains, efforts, failures etc. When we look at the percentage of various dots in a successful person, it goes as this

Pains/sufferings____20%
Efforts___________20%
Learning New things in life10%
Failures__________50%

All these dots join up(20+20+10+50) make up a circle(100%).

As you see failures contribute a major share for success. As was rightly said “Failures are the stepping stones for success”.So a successful person travels through myriad of failures.

The next 20% goes to our efforts.Exert your capabilities and work into action.

Another 20% contributes to Pains/sufferings.To achieve something we have to sacrifice something. Definitely a successful person would have experienced pains /sufferings .Accept pains/sufferings by enjoying them. This may sound too different and hard. But it is the reality.

The last 10% contributes to learning new things in life .We can make a best option for learning new things from our experiences.By doing so our mistakes are easily visible to us and hence learn a new way aiming for the betterment. The saying “knowledge is power” is really powerful.Let us build the attitude of learning. What we have learnt so far is only a size of a handful of mud while the unknown things contribute to the size of the world(old Tamil proverb) .

So friends let us dispel the fear of success and I wish your life revolve around a colourful and a beautiful circle.

Dear Bhargavi,

I agree with you 100% for the formula of success as a circle. My husband just started a business a year and a half ago. We have not seen success yet. But we are hanging in there and we defintely know that our success is just around the corner and we have had our share of all the pain, effort and sacrifice along the way and it ain't over yet. Thanks for this post. I needed the assurance.

love,
jothi.

Dear most Bhargavi ma'am,

Kindly accept my apologies for having reserving my comments not only as the last person, but also after a long time of your reminder in my thread :)

Tackling a hard concept of reality and taking the same as joining the dots is a tough task. I appreciate for you have handled the subject with such simplicity.

But many a time, the dots do not join to form a circle. Yes, this happens when we experience a setback due to our failure(s). Rather than analyzing what can be done next, we tend to sit and crib over the difficult situations. When we wash away the habit of Self-pitying and Self-boasting, success will knock our doors as opportunity does !! Its my personal opinion and am happy that it matches yours ma'am. :)

Love
RamyaVaradharajan

Bhargavi,

a very nice one..

If we see the life of successful people, the dots you had mentioned had played vital roles...more over as Ramya has pointed out, self-pity and self-boasting are the 'blocking blocks' to a successful person or persons...which will let them down in due course..

Hi Srini,
Very true....
Self pity and self boasting are "blocking blocks' to the successful person.

Regards.

Dearest ramya mam,
Thanks for your valuable and sound feedback. This time u must excuse me since i am replying after a long gap.
Stepping back, definitely joining the dots are not as simple as u have mentioned and forming a circle is also not a simple task.By forming such difficult dots like working hard only then we can form a circle and the circle does not come as easy as a regular circle. And sometimes the dots may go somewhere like u said facing setbacks,it is again in our hands to make the dots come back to the position.
The subject of forming a circle is really a tough job and i have interpreted the success as a circle which can formed only by joining those difficult dots..Not the regular dots....

Thanks a ton once again for your precious feedback..
