| Candles melt when aglow |
| |||
| Dear Ambika, As i start typing this post..i am wiping off the tears that rolled down my left cheek while my right eye is filled to the brim... This vegetable vendor is in all our lives...i feel the same way for our maid servant. To think how unfortunate some lives are...makes us feel happier the way we are.. To read what i have felt, in a poem that has donned the robes of a prose is very moving. Great job Ambika! You have proved that you are not only a writer but a very humane one at that!!

| Dear Ambika, A poet is a poet not just cos she writes verse, but cos she creates poetry in everything she does. Be it your middle in DH or your kindness in giving the lady a bedsheet and a warm smile- you have shown us that a poet first writes from the heart and then with her pen. Great piece and I am sure may more will follow. Loving your middle,Ambika. affly Vidya Last edited by Vidya24 : 16th January 2007 at 08:44 AM. |

| Dear Ambika, I thought I have posted my reply earlier, am not able to find it now..anywayz, your article was soooo touchy..I am all admiration for that vendor woman now. She may be poor in living, but very rich in heart...with so much of problems surrounding her like a mountain,she had the thought to pray for you..What a noble character ! It's nice to note that you help these kind of (deserving) people in whatever way you can..your humility draws me towards you... Keep sharing such real-life stories...We need to keep reading article like this to remind ourselves that humanity still exists, in this fast-pasted, materialistic world... Love, Preethi |
