Turning the clock back

Wouldn’t be wonderful if we could turn the clock back and relive the moments we enjoyed? Or to review the wrong decisions we have taken and to change them?
In fact I wish to relive the days when we went on a tour to chardham. The yathra to Yamunothri, Gangothri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. I feel sad that we couldn’t spend more time to enjoy the nature’s beauty and mingle with nature to my heartfelt. It was a wonderful experience. We went to Nepal also and there we visited Katmandu and Pokra, but we missed out Salagramam. If I could travel back to those days through time machine, I’ll definitely go to Salagramam. I have many more things to add, but I do not want to try your patience.
Perhaps you might think what happened to PS? Has she become crazy? Is it possible? There is no harm in dreaming. Wouldn’t you also like to get the clock set back and to relive and relish again the moments you enjoyed?

I read your writing with great pleasure.. You might be surprised but I have given this much thought already. I will explain how. Over the past few years I noticed many friends who had kids grow up and go to college and the kids got busy with their own lives maintaing a minimum contact with parents. When I observed more closely I found that this has happened because when kids were growing up these parents were too busy to spend time with kids. Hence the drift in my opinion. So we started to spend more time as a family so that one day when I turn the clock back I can atleast feel a small content I worked hard to do what I wanted.
Like you say travel memories are very pleasant. here to I did this small thing. Usually I tend to argue with my dh and tend to spoil it. I try very hard to make it more pleasant so that whenwe turn back the clock it might bring pleasant memories.
I dont want to trouble you with too much to read but wanted to share that these actions now are consequences of what would happen when I turn back the clock.

Nice one, everybody thinks about this once in a while...
Me too had the privilege of going to Badrinath, Kedarnath and Vaishnodevi temple..during my school years...but lo without knowing any significance of these pilgrimages...
Another one..I should have helped my mom in and around the house during my early years...(eventhough my mom didn't mind it) too..bad of me..
These things came to my mind immediately, will come with some more, if something pops up...in my mind..

Nice topic!! Made me nostalgic!!

I was about 10 years old when my brother took me to the local public library and made me a member there. I was spellbound on seeing the rows upon rows of fantastic hardbound, colorful books!

That day a new world opened up for me. I wish I could go back in time to that particular day and start all over again!!

Dear Mrs. PS,

I would love to go back to the time when I was in the 11th std.

After passing out of the 10std boards, the teachers in our school always left us free. They were busy with our immediate junior and senior classes...10th and 12th std...preparing them for the boards exams..

All our classmates had so much of free time and fun..never wanted to take leave even for a single day..
I love to re experience those days now.

Jokes apart.....there are many incidents or actions that I would like to go back and rectify...but let me limit myself to dreaming of those good days..

When we are young we are in the jolly picnicing mood and do not understand the significance of holy places. When we understand it we find it difficult to spend as much time as we wish. And one more thing, that we spend time in taking photos instead of enjoying the scenary. Of course photos play an imortant roll in refreshing our memory. Thank you for sharing your thoughts,

Dear AC,
I always made it a point to keep close contact with my children even when I was working. Even when my two boys went out for higher education I was keeping in touch by writing letters and also on phone.
As you say travel memories are to be treasured for ever. The only problem is when we join arranged tours to divya desams we couldn't spend as much time as we wish.
