saw this thread just now...
i am one of those chikkanam chinnus who gets outraged when i see unncesary wastage...
and in the US, one has to see it to believe it...they'll simply throw out anything...
i've seen good mattresses and things like cordless phones thrown into the dustbin opp to my flat....
and they'll give lectures to every other country...
and of course, they have canned gourmet meals for cats and dogs here....
