One Page Story - Guilty

Saravanan looked at the watch tenth time.It was 6.30.He was expecting his MD for the party.He arranged his daughter's birthday party in his home.His wife,daughter and son got ready for the party and stand behind of him.

When he looked around the room to make sure everything is prepared well, he just looked at his mother Lakshmi.She was very busy with arranging the dinning table with the fruits and flowers.

She was not a educated person and she looked too aged at her age of sixty.Basically Saravanan came from the village background.His father died when he was in seventh standard.So Lakshmi worked hard to bring up Saravanan.She did any kind of work to raise him and she was very strong about Saravanan's education.Finally she achieved it .Yes now Saravanan is in the good position and he earning a good sum.

Saravanan had a look at his mother he felt some what bad to introduce his mother to his MD,since she is not a educated person and she doesnt know how to behave decently.Though he knows that his thought is idiotic one, he cant deviate from his thinking.

When he was thinking about that, his MD get down from the car with his family.Saravanan and family went and welcomed them.
His MD introduces every one to Saravanan and his family.He started introducing an old Lady who comes with him,"I feel very proud to introduce this Charming lady to all,she is the person of kind and humble.She is one who doesnt know the spelling of education ,raised her child as the MD of the reputed organization..... yes she is my sweet mom" .........

Saravanan felt ashamed and went inside to call her mother...........

Sometimes we are so engrossed in our present state that we forget our humble upbringing. To remember our roots is very important and acknowledging the same. Without our mother we are not there.

That was a very good story with a moral to be proud of your parents irrespective of who they are, What they do , how they look. Infact one who worships his parents with a clean heart can climb the ladder of success because he is truly blessed and that explains why the MD is where is his and why Saravanam is where he is. Good to know he realised his folly.
