Default A Blogger's Lament...

Writing articles is a thankless job. I write a post and then wait like a hawker on the street swatting flies, waiting for customers to show up. I can choose to shout and advertise my ware like hawkers do. By visiting their post and encouraging them in every way I could, but that will only get me traffic not readers. People will stop by my post, but not a millisecond longer to read through and pass away with out a valid comment, except for a nice post, none will join with their experience to show how much this article is a day to day happening in many people’s life.
By god’s grace I have a few regular friends who would leave a comment about what I have written, I don’t want to mention their name here but suffice to say if you are in the that group you know that you are, and I am deeply indebted to you.

We as bloggers aspire to reach the maximum appreciation, but when left with only nice post the two letter leaves you with a depression oh! It means only that, all that searching and wording of thoughts could fetch you only nice post, come on I think the bloggers can do each other a favour by at least putting in their thoughts for each post that way each one helps the other remain together as a community, and help improvise their thoughts and put it to pen for the sake of friends atleast.

Let me share my experience though when one of the blogger gives a fantastic comment I just swoon the entire day as if I have been gifted the world, let us not forget we bloggers also have an achille’s heel that is our sensitivity does not allow us to stand strong criticism, though we say we take in our stride we hurt deep, but that should not stop us from taking it with a pinch of salt as it also helps us to cultivate to word our feeling even more beautifully and in the long run I am sure you allow others to get hooked to your blogging and then you have made a mark. They would tolerate anything after that as most have a close affinity to the blogger…regards sunkan

Hello Sunkan,

Your posts are all very good and I enjoy all of them. But sometimes when you take up some bold topics I have also noticed that the responses are not quite encouraging. Though people do not specifically write any reply, you should take heart from the number of views that your posts get.

Keep posting.

Regards,

Abha.

dear abha,
i expect the response to be like in the site where I blog, it made rainbow for my night as they are all great rank bloggers, and in a subject there is no bold or soft, and when u dont give a comment it just goes waste, dont each of us bring a color here, and if not appreciated that color would vanish out of indus, because recently i find not many write and if it had not been for that blog site where i started writing in the month of april and my rank there was 20,800 and to day it is hitting 400 and a lot of comment criticise and so many laughter and share, that has made me what i am today, i was very nervous when only in indus as no one was commenting i felt i am not worthy of any writing, but these stalwarts have put me on to a fast wheel, i wrote this today as there are many like me here who would thrive on comments, and if the title is not catchy none would read it, all these i learnt in the other sites...
i want to awaken the crowd who just read it like magazine and go away, dont do that is my say here...thanku for ur encouragement i feel honoured..sunkan

Dear Sunkan,
I know how much time and effort a writer puts in writing an article. I do read all your articles and I do give my fb to most of them, if not all. Your articles are interesting and informative. Keep posting!
regards,

Dear Sundari,
Please do not lose heart. As you say that your blog had attracted so many people, here also a time will come and you will definitely get recognition. Even now I see there are Ilites who appreciate your posts. Carry on with your work and you'll find it rewarding. I really admire you for posting a number of threads in a day. You know from your chatting experience with me how slow I am. Cheer up!
Love,
Pushpavalli

Dear Sungan,
We all feel let down when our write-ups are not appreciated but if writing is our passion, I think even if one person has read it and gained something it is worth writing. Quite a lot of my poems have gone unnoticed but that will not stop me from submitting more. In fact, earlier I was submitting my poems in another site and there I never received a single response! Still I continued to do so for a year after which there were problems in the site and the bulletin board was removed , which had atleast given some opportunity for the co-poets to interact. Then I found this web site and started contributing here.
Of late I have been held up because of some personal commitments ans so could not post fbs for quite a lot of the threads. In fact I am just updating myself on all that I have missed reading and by chance I found this one and thought I should write here first to boost your spirits. I have always liked your writings and I have also sent fbs for some.
Regards,
Malathi

dear malathi,
i have been here in this site for a year and a half went away half way then came back on my own, in the initial days why even now some of our members here who hold post feel very very responsible for this site and sometime be a lot rough.
still only not being a kenathu thavalai i had the oppurtunity to jump out and when i saw others appreciating so openly and advising how to go about, like once you write an article send pm to your friend about it and when they do respond send again a thanku to them, that way you will build the network that weaves a good friendship circle..
i felt we should also do that, after all we all have the addiction of opening indus in the morning whatever time we are free, then after reading something new leave alone whether they are poem, article, jokes but a word or two will not go unnoticed, the amount of response our ladies can give for the great men here do we get the same from them for all our posts, no to a limited some but the ladies here atleast can encourage other ladies if they appreciate the post, and whatever i bring forth has been for their benefits, to share and when no one bothers to say even a nice lines, i felt i was squatting with the posts, hahah, it is just to pep others, my sis, why mr sri, all were people with blogs in hand none to appreciate but when i brought them over, they are enjoying the bliss but i remained the sarathi only, though i have exceeded posts none took to notice as it is not available for more than 24 hrs here, and it vanishes into hay stack so when i ask a friend, hey! did you read she says please send the link ma..so my lament is there, when i post elswhere people go ga ga over it i consoled myself sure, i can write, and i can make them laugh with the forwards that i bring...thanku for ur encouragement and yes many like me are here who's post go unnoticed, because of the setting i think, soon that too will change, i have been around too long so know that...regards sunkan
