Question Rg- silk sarees

Dear all,

I've got single ( one) side border pattu( silk) saree. I feel it's very grand & me being short & thin...it's not suiting me.
And since I don't have any 'tailoring knowledge', I need to ask u all
can I able to cut single side border in to two sides? Is it possible to do? And I 'm not interested in making/ stitching them in to salwar kameez.
can anyone help me out with this...

thanks in advance
