Hi Raj, You can measure the height of your baby (from hip to bottom you measure) then hip size, for babies badipavadai is the best. So you measure from her shoulder to hip height ----- hip size ----- shoulder to hip size ----- If you want to stitch blouse: shoulder size (left hand to right hand) blouse height (how much you need height) chest sleeve width (kaiyoda suttralavu) sleeve length Hope the above is clear

My small suggestion - hope you dont mind; Stitch extra lengths inside.. so that as the child grows up you can open the flaps.. and extra length secured! My mother has always stitched pattu pavadai for me and all my cousins and her ganda daughter too.. this was her trick!

Rama, thank you, that's exactly what I needed! I'll measure her and send the measurements. Anandchitra, yes, my mother said she's going to leave extra fabric and it is going to be the badi pavadai type. It will be easier to wear. Raj
