Chudi material cutting n stitching a quick help

Dear friends,

Please help me. I have a chudithar material. I 'm new to sewing but i would love to do that. Help me how can i cut the material. Where to start. Is it good to directly go and cut the material or do i need to first cut in the paper?

If you have any pictures in cutting the material that would be of great help.

Thank you so much. But what is your opinion on cutting the material. How to start cutting? THis is my first time and i'm very afraid of doing that. Can i cut directly on the material?

If this is your first cutting, it is better you take paper cutting first. Then keep the paper cutting on plain cloth and draw the borders, then cut. Hope you know the layers of folding and how to keep the paper cutting on the cloth. If not take directions from anyone you know nearby. Because cutting is the main part.

Thanks Vanaja, Your method of cuttintg and stitching a salwar kameez was excellent, and though it was my first time it came out perfect. Just a request, do u knopw how to cut a chudidhar the one with pleats and tight at the bottom with hooks. Would really appreciate if u can send a draft for that.
