Hand embroidery on salwar material

Hi,
Me thinking of doing hand embroidery on salwar material. Do not want to stitch it now since i am pregnant and my measurements will change later. can anyone please tell me where all shud i do the embroidery (that to fill front of salwar) on a 3 meter salwar top material? i am not sure as i dont know tailoring. even the basics

Where are you in Chennai? If you are in Mahalakshmi nagar, selaiyur one tailor is doing embroidery work. but i am not sure about his stitching.

I am in Velachery. I can stitch salwar. Also i will do some embroidery.

You are correct. In shop salwar material we get top 21/2 meter, bottom 2 meter only. some times we stitch for stout ladies cloth is not sufficient.

Better we can by 3 meter for top, 2 meter for bottom. We need embroidery or paintings we can bye plain material.

my doubt is, if we get a plain 3 meter material for stitching salwar top, where shud i do the embroidery... so that the embroidered part comes in the front after stitching...
the salwar shud look something like this..


for that where shud i do the embroidery in the unstitched material???

Hi Deepi,

Once you purchased the material you have to give it for embroidery work. Then we cut the salwar and stitch. If you need embroidery design only neck portion we can cut the salwar except the neck portion. After completion of neck embroidery we will cut the neck.

i saw ur post only today. i would like to know whether u are going to do the embroidery by yourself or going to give an order outside. if u are giving outside to a professional he knows where to do or if u opt to to do yourself i may be able to guide u

i am planning to do it myself. as i am going on maternity leave a month b4 my due date.. thought of doing something interesting.. inspired by out ILites posts on embroidery n wanted to do it on my own..
kindly let me know where to do on a plain salwar material..
