Default Long skirts in Fashion

Hi all i am just starting this thread as i am planning to wear long foot length skirts which my friend has sent me. I have not worn such skirts as i prefer short skirts at home and jeans or salwars when i go out. Three things i would like to clarify is
1. Do plain colored long skirts look nicer or printed ones
2. Do these long skirts also manufactured like the scooter ones with built in underwear?
3 Is it necessary to wear a slip or some type of inskirt under these long skirts?
4. Are these type of long skirts available in stores for formal official wear and if so what material and colors are suitable for work wear?

Any Opinions and suggestions are very much welcome and thanks all who take the time to reply, regards, Jessica

hi all,
skirts r very comfortable clothing to wear at home as well as outside!!!!certain skirts are quite transparent when u go out in the sun in the morning so in such times it is better to wear an inskirt with it!!!!!
luv

Hi Jessica,
Lemme congrats u for getting a long skirt...they are kinda evergreen though in summers one prefers to wear short skirts but long skirt are my fav........although i am not an expert, i will give u my 2 cent on the things u asked.....
1.Plain and printed both look good...the thumb rule is that if u are wearing a printed skirt, top it up with a plain blouse....and vice versa........
2&3.Honestly i havnt found a long skirt with in built innerwear...unless ur skirt is of transparent material, i dont think u need to wear inskirt with it.
4.In my opinion long skirts with flair are more suited for informals while straight long skirts in dark colors looks good formally...few of my friends do wear them to office. If u plan to wear them to office, then team them up with formal shirts...they would look fab.
hope this helps
cheenu
PS...check FABINDIA FOR LOVELY CASUAL LONG SKIRTS :)
