Summer Skirts...any takers ?

Hello all, i was just wondering i any of u girl out there are into skirts for the summer. Cotton skirts are in a lot of demand now in India and abroad though i guess in India we would like to keep to skirts at home if they are short ones. Any one who would like to share their views about wearing skirts for summer are most welcome and i do hope we receive a lot of replies, regards, Jessi

I am so comfortable in skirts...that day in and day out i wear those cool cotton ones.

I am not much of a jeans or pant person...but skirts...hmmm anytime.

I love skirts in all the forms. Straight, A-line, Frilly ones , Business skirts , short skirts. I have them all.And I love to wear skirt anytime Its feasible for me.

Hi Roopa and Ria thanks for picking up the thread and i was so glad to have heard from you girls this morning and its nice to hear about your love for skirts. I am sure many would accept the fact that we have grown up in schools getting used to skirts of all sizes an shapes. But I do guess in India the love for skirts slowly dies away as many of the girls shift to salwars and jeans as they grow up and I am sure Ria you do have a lovely chance of wearing skirts over there in the US but I am sure there are many of us out there who would never give up a chance to pull on a skirt at any given chance. Though I do wear Jeans and salwars and of course occasionally sarees to work but back home i would never compromise on any other form of wear other than my skirts and tops.I do wear long skirts often when i go out but at home u can always find me in casual tops and short skirts and I think thats the best deal for the summer especially with the tropical weather like this in India. I really dont think any sort of boldness is required to put on these cotton cool skirts if u r a person who prefers wearing this attire at home. This is a good thread Jessi as many of the ladies I am sure would have by now adapted to cotton skirts. Me and my daughter love wearing short cotton skirts when we go out as they r so comfy and go with any sort of top that u can find. We have a lovely collection of short cotton skirts and its the best attire that can be worn for casual outing, cheers, Pamela

This is a good topic! I love to wear skirts especially in summer. I love to wear long, frilly, short(till knees) skirts.
I like to where skirts even at home some times.

I like to wear skirts alot.But the prob s m very short i mean m 5'1" and m little bit apprehensive abt wearing skirts.I feel they doesnt suit me .Am I correct?
Can anyone tell me if skirts suit me .M normally built with little extra wt on tummy :( Even m working on tht)

Dear sunray, i am happy to know that u like to wear skirts but dont worry about the height because to make u look good u either can wear full length skirts to the ankle or mini skirts, either way, if u r comfortable wearing mini skirts. But do go in for tight fitting skirts and not baggy ones or flowy ones as it might make u look bit bulky. regards, Jessi

Really good thread...yes I always loved to wear skirts..long skirts specially...but after my +2 i stopped wearing them ..in US i tried quite a few times but somehow lost intouch...but yes after seeing your thread I am sure this summer I would surely wear skirts....thank you .....for giving us that pushh....:)
