Back Button Blouse Stitching Method

Can anyone tell me the procedure of stitching a blouse with back button? I want to know the procedure, cutting etc.. Please help me out..

dear uma,
from what you have written i think u know the basic, right, then just keep the opening on the back side and stitch...Turbans, Tassels and Tattoos! - Costuming - The Choli see if this is of help to you..sunkan

stitching of back hook blouse r similar to the regular front hook ones. the cut is done at the back depending upon the depth u like. after that folds r done to hold hooks in place. then depending upon the width of the band, hooks/buttons r stitched at a gap of atleast 3/4 to one inch. better have 3 or more hooks for proper hold.

Hello ladies,

I recently bought a dress - a beautiful saree and a low neck blouse, a bollywood replica from one of the online sites.But in the process, I forgot to tell them that I wanted a front open blouse - They have sent me a back open one - it looks gorgeous - but how do you a wear a back open blouse without the help of others. I dont want offend any one because I did ask this question as I dont know how to hook 6 hooks on the back with out aches and pain. I may like to wear open back as it looks beautiful from the back side. How do you ladies hook it if you have to do it alone. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, the procedure is the same as the front one but in the front in the centre u need to have a centre dart of .5" in ur neck side otherwise ur blouse willnot stay in the shoulder n will look wide. I have done 2 blouses thats y i can tell u.
