As i was nearing my 50th post, yesterday I opened the web and was shocked. Anyway thanks for the information and restoring eveything with minimal loss. It happens. I am back on my way to complete 50.

There was so much of vaccum yesterday without IL, I was literally trying every half an hour to see if the site was back..so much used to IL every morning while I start my work!!

As soon as I tried to open the forum page yesterday I saw the announcement, all of you have put in so much effort Kudos!!!! to you and all the team members who brought the site back with minimal data loss!

Even I was shocked on seeing my posts and blogs missing. Thanks laxmi for the information.

When the site went off I was not worried. But when it came back I saw several of the comments in my blog and fb in my forum missing.

To start with I was upset, yes. I really was.

It took just a few seconds to realise what kind of work you and your team are doing to give us a hassle-free browsing experience.

At the end of it all I started praying to Lord that we should have these breaks and data losses once in a while. For otherwise we will never realise the value of our great technical team.

In a way we as accountants share one common trait with the technical team. When things go well no body would even faintly suspect that there are accountants and that there is a technical team. But when things go wrong we accountants are usually the first to get hanged.

We all remembered you with gratitude on 12th. May God bless you.

when i couldn't access the site for sometime i initially thought that only i was having a problem with my connection or something, but when i realised that i could see other sites, wondered what was up....but had no idea you were struggling with such serious technical issues...

we have a whole team of moderators to monitor the content, but i guess the technical side has very little support....thanks a ton for all the pains and effort you put in everyday....and its ok, data losses and system crashes happen everywhere, from individual computers to huge corporate servers...sometimes the unavoidable stuff happens, despite all our efforts...

take a break for yourself, and hopefully you'll be feeling better and relaxed soon...take care...

He probably referred to the Hand Of God that helped Diego Maradona score the first goal in the quarter final of FIFA World Cup in 1986 against England.

Whatever the human finger writes can be recalled, changed, altered, erased and rephrased thanks to all the technological advancement. But there are times, the human finger is elevated to the level of the Divine by the same technology! Like what has happened now! We just can't lure back what we have written during those fateful twelve hours!

But honestly Laxmi, words fail me to pay adequate tribute to the ever vigilant you! Keep up your good work that we may sleep in peace!

Incidentally, I see a strange Smiley at the end of Chitvish's reply to Aishu. Was she shuffling and playing cards during those dark hours when she could get some respite?
