Dear IL'ites,
This announcement is about re-organizing a few forums:
1.
Snippets of Life - This forum has been moved from "Express Cafe" category to "Good to Read/Write" category.
The reason is that we want the entire "Good to Read/Write" category to be the place for contributions that come in as own-writings.
We request all members to choose the appropriate sub-forum to post (within
Good to Read/Write category) based on what type of a contribution they make. It can be stories or articles/middles or poems or blogs or a personal one-off reflection. We also ask you to take up a private
blogspace if you are an ardent writer making consisent contributions.
ONLY
personal one-off reflections should be posted
in Snippets. No posting all kinds of writings in Snippets thinking it is the forum that has maximum readership these days. Please be aware that kind of readership cannot be sustained on the long run. As you post in the appropriate forums, automatically readership will start spreading across to all forums.
We will be moving as part of our organizing activity during the next few days, those writings already posted in Snippets Forum to other appropriate forums, if it is not a personal one-off reflection. The redirects we provide will help your readers to find your writings. Do not take a heartburn because of this moderation act - it is NOT person specific.
2.
Community Chit-Chat - A new sub-forum under "Our Community" category.
This is mainly for members to chit-chat about IL and IL'ites - like "X is missing" and other discussions around members relationship with IL and how it fits their life. There were lots of such threads
directly in the "Our community" forum, which has been moved into this "Chit Chat" forum.
3.
General Discussions -This is made to be one of the main forums in the "Express Cafe" category.
This is mainly for topics that are not covered in any other sub-forum.
We would request all of your support by posting in the appropriate forums to keep the forums organized based on topics. This will help all existing as well as new members to easily locate messages on various topics and it will naturally help readership grow stronger.
Finally, make your readers to follow your writings. You may want to try the following for the same:
1. Post your writings in the appropriate forums. Add a link to couple of your writings in your signature, so that members see it when you participate in various forums.
2. Send a private message to those avid readers of your writings to keep them posted of your new writings.
Happy Reading & Writing in IndusLadies :)
Note: Many of you would have already noticed the
'Member Here?' section in the left column of the Home page featuring
New Threads and
New Posts. This is to enable members to know what got posted newly since their last visit to IndusLadies.
