Dear IL'ites,
It is quite after some time I'm here to announce a few changes with the Community Leaders.
Aarushi (Super Moderator) is getting relieved from the roles of being a moderator, due to time constraints and other increased priorities in the personal front. She initially started as a "Local Champion" for the forums "Indians in South East" (region of USA & Canada). With her consistent moderation and friendly approach, she stepped-up to the role of a Super Moderator. Then she played a key role in moderating forums like 'Immigration Matters', 'H4 Indian Ladies', 'Singles World' and also helped in implementing new ideas in few more areas. She enthusiastically facilitated a few IL'ite Meet-ups with the Atlanta IL'ites. I take this opportunity to personally thank her for all the great things she has done for IL.
The following greeter/moderators/local champions have also decided to step-off their roles due to time constraints:
Sowparnika - one of those best
greeters, who made sure the new members felt wanted with her friendly and warm greeting message. She also helped with her share of moderation in the
'Our Community' forums.
Riyasmommy - one of the great moderators of the
'Parenting' forums, posted great ideas, suggestions and experiences as a mom herself, played a key-role in indexing the frequently accessed contents in those forums in addition to a lot of moderation, organizing and cleaning-up help in those forums.
Vidu29 - one of those moderators who put in a lot of efforts in the
'Hobbies, Arts & Crafts' forums (especially the Embroidery works & Paintings forums) to organize the humongous amount of posts that come in there.
She also came-up with great suggestions to make the Hobbies forum more easily navigable.
Preethi - she was a local champion of
'Indians in Qatar' forum. Many new comers found their way in IL via her great thread -
tips to the Newcomers to IndusLadies. She was an enthusiastic champion of the Qatar forum starting a lot of threads absolutely informative to the local IL'ites in Qatar.
Let us convey our heartfelt thanks to these community leaders who devoted a lot of time and efforts for the best of the community.
We are sure going to miss their leadership, but let us hope to see them around as active participants in the various forums of this community.
Note: I will be soon coming up with announcement about new moderators/local champions for a few forums that doesn't have one and also replacements for the above leaders (as necessary).
