    Dear IL'ites,

As our hobbies, arts and crafts forum becomes more and more popular and many people use it, below are the guidelines for that forum which clarifies several things.

    Participation Guidelines for Hobbies Forum

Goals of the Hobbies, Arts & Crafts Forum

The hobbies, arts and crafts forum has a lofty goal of building a community of creative people by showcasing art work, inspiring members, educating beginners and helping each other.

    What is allowed?

    1) Providing feedback and comments to art works shared by others. It motivates them to do more and share more. While one-line feedbacks are okay, try and be more descriptive with your feedback.

    2) Showcasing your personal art and hobby works. You will get direct feedback that will encourage you to do more and better. It doesn't have to be perfect. Anything you do is beautiful in its own way.

    2) Publishing tutorials that provide step-by-step instructions on how you did your art work. The forum has a lot of beginners and your tutorials will be very helpful to them.

    4) Help others by answering their questions, providing encouragement, sharing tips and anything else to build a strong community.

    What is not allowed?

A few members who started off sharing their work, have gone on to self-promote themselves by using watermarks, facebook links, private message solicitation etc. As a result, we are clarifying and reminding members about what is not allowed in this forum.

    1) Watermarks that display your website, facebook page or your brand names aren't allowed.

    2) Providing links to your website or your facebook page or your store in any online marketplaces is not allowed. This is direct self-promotion.

    3) Using public forum posts or private messages to do business communication (i.e. discussion about products, sales, pricing) is strictly prohibited.

    4) Do not register your business name as your username in Indusladies. If you do, all your posts and your user account will be deleted and you need to re-register again. Sorry!

    5) If you are interested in promoting your work to the Indusladies audience, please see advertising options with Indusladies here - Advertising Options with Indusladies.

Violation of any of the above guidelines would result in your post and user account being removed from the site. Depending on the violation, you may or may not receive a warning before we lock your account. If you see someone else violating these guidelines, please report that post.

Thank you and we look forward to your support.
