Soy Milk

Hi all,
My son is allergic to Dairy products and we live in US. We are planning to come to India in December'09 can anyone tell me where we can get soy milk in Vijayawda and hyderabad. It would be really helpfull if some one can help me with this.

You can try in any good departmental stores in HYD.I have bought soy milk from "Value Mart" in Yousufguda,Hyderabad.It's v good for health.
PS:I have replied to your query in another forum too.

Why don't you buy a soy milk maker? I have seen them sold on eBay. The machine processes the beans into milk.

You can give him powder milk, which is available any where and there are less side effects. If you get soya milk in India, there rae chances that he might have allergic reaction to it. Or otherwise, if your visit is short get it from US.

My son is lactose intolerant too. I buy soy milk from ratnadeep in secunderabad. Ratnadeep has three branches in hyderabad. I buy Steata and Sofit brands depending on availability. There are different flavors too. I am sure soy milk is available in other big stores too like Fresh @, Reliance Fresh, Spencer.

TIP: Pick up one box of lactaid chewables - available at walgreens, cvs, riteaid, costco, walmart. This tablet help break down lactose in the body.

Your son should not have regular milk even if he takes a lactaid tablet. But he can have a scoop of icecream ocassionally. Probably you already know that!!
