Default help regarding flight assistance

Hi all

I am not sure wether to post this question here

My frnd stayin abroad and planning to bring her father here.It is will be the first time for him to board the flight. So is there any possibility or arrangement that she can make such that the flight ppl itself will board him and let him at the terminal where she can pick him up..

Doest matter what the cost is?

regards
amul

Hi Amul,

Yes, the airlines will provide good facilities to help elder people, check with the airline with which uncle is going to travel. Last time I arranged wheel chair assistence for my father, they will take the person into the airplane and also wait outside the plane to take the person to baggage checkout and handover to their relatives , they will also assist in getting borading pass and take to the required terminals in case of connecting flight, no need to ask anybody's help.

Ask your friend to check with airlines.

Sujatha.

I ended up coming back from India (Air India) using wheelchair after my accident and surgery three years ago. I can give you full assurance they do a great job with the wheelchair folks from start to finish. They will help at all transfers, waiting rooms, airport security, gates etc. Upon landing in USA they even have special line in customs to facilitate folks in wheelchairs. It was no charge by the airline (although all the employees want a tip but they are paid wage so really no need). I would wholeheartedly recommend using this for your friends dad.
