Need beauty advice

Hi,
I am getting married in December 2009. I am so much worried about my skin because it is dull and dark. I am living in Germany and here I dont find any beauty advisor or makeup artist special for my skin type.I generally dont use any makeup only just a cold cream on face so I dont have any idea how to do makeup.Could you please advice me how can I make my skin better and also other tips.
