sure Nand, I can try..as I know a little, but instead of random sentences I suggest we pick a topic and cover the words and sentences around it

kshemam is usually used in letters, in day today it is enough to say 'nenu baagane unnanu or nenu bagunnanu' meaning 'I am doing good' - neevu/meeru is used against 'you/respectful you' respectively like tum/aap

Sorry :( the person I used to talk my so-not-good telugu to, is the priest in NJ temple. So what he says I assumed its the one :)

I understand, may be different slangs right ?

Not slang per se, but different words that convey same meaning at different situations/circumstances. Picked a topic yet?

Hi ,

Baagunnara.

Na bagunnthi!

meeru ela vunnaru?

these are the few sentences I have learnt
It is 4 months since I came to Hyderabad from chennai & am very interested in learning telugu.

First I learnt "Naaku telugu raathu" so that I can tell people that I don't know telugu.

Though I am able to understand here & there am not able to understand grammar. How to learn so that I can talk speaking telugu fluently. I really want to learn this "sundara telugu".

naaku telugu nerchukoni everu unnaru?( Actually I wanted to say is there anybody to teach me telugu?)

velli vasthanu.

namaste

Hi Bhuvaneswari,
Nenu baga unnanu..
for all nenu(naan)......ending will be anu..like re'n in tamil..rasthunnanu, chathuvuthunnanu etc....Learning to talk is easier...but for reading we have to learn step by step with someone's help...
Love
Meena
