 Saptak Festival of Indian Classical Music, Ahmedabad
Hi, The Saptak Festival of Music is held in January each year in Ahmedabad and is just the place to be at if you are an ardent lover of Indian classical music. The festival is organised by a trust that runs the Saptak School of Music. Pt. Ravi Shankar inaugaurated it in 1980. The classical greats and musical maestros who play during this festival make it a pleasure for the senses. There are no tickets to be bought and entry is free. The vibrant business community in this city supports its operating costs etc. So planning a holiday, and a lover of classical music, donot miss out on this superb festival!
